Dog Food Recalls

As a dog owner it really freaks me out that there can be so many recalls on dog food and products as well as on toys. It is very alarming that it can seem safer for your 4-legged family member to eat table scraps (though it’s not recommended). I have heard of dogs getting sick and some even dying from contaminated foods.

The links provided are for some recalls from 2009 to 2013. I say “some” because I have seen more online and listed at pet stores in recent weeks. Now, the second link is recalls from the FDA and should be all recalls from 2012 to 2013. I always keep an eye on these lists as my oldest dog has had some of theses recalled treats. I have since started baking my own natural cookies and chews to lessen the chance of him having contaminated food.

I wanted to share this with you to help you keep your doggie safe and away from toxins. So please always keep updated on the recalls even if it is only once a month. It takes one click of your mouse to help keep your dog safe.chews.
