Did you ever like a celebrity a little bit more when you found out that you have something in common? Whenever I hear of a celebrity who owns a Boston Terrier, I immediately get a little excited. After all, you know that they have great taste. Here are some celebrities that you may have not known are Boston Terrier fanatics.

Rose McGowen: A well-known actress, Rose, has had three Boston Terriers: Bug, Happy and Fester. She is also extensively involved in Boston Rescue, often asking for donations to the rescue in lieu of presents for special occasions. She is also involved in an organization that helps Boston’s find their forever homes.

Alison Sweeny

Allison Sweeny: The host of the popular TV show “The Biggest Loser”, get plenty of exercise lugging around her one-eyed Boston Terrier rescue named Winky. Seems like an appropriate name. Winky has nestled herself into the family, and is a constant source of affection and entertainment. Winky also underwent a Biggest Loser type conditioning when she put on some extra weight, with many fun-filled walks and hikes; she is back to her svelte self.

Gerald R. Ford: This 38th president of the United States got it right from the start. He grew up with two Boston Terriers, Fleck and Spot. He became a life-long friend of dogs and had several throughout his life.

Louis Armstrong: It truly is a wonderful world, when you have a Boston Terrier in it. Louis Armstrong, the famed musician, received his Boston, General, as a gift from his manager. General was a fixture at the Armstrong household, often curling up at his owners feet. Some argue that he may have been an inspiration for some of Louis’ work.

Helen Keller: This famous deaf and blind author and lecturer was once given a Boston Terrier, Phiz, as a gift from a classmate. Her dog was said to be an independent and not one to easily make friends, however with Helen it was said to be love at first sniff.
