Please Help Find
Moose (BC)

PRINT POSTER

I adopted Moose 2 1/2 years ago in BC from the Boston Terrier Rescue Society here (via Rebecca Davis). I believe he was dog-napped yesterday.

On Monday, September 13, 2010, I had Moose with me (like usual), and we were at the Touchstones Museum in Nelson, BC as I was there to take down my show. Moose was by my side all morning, and then it was time for a lunch break. The other two workers headed out the door to get their lunch. I bent down to check the time and grab my sandwich, and by the time I looked up, Moose was gone - he must have followed one of them out. I checked the lobby but nothing. I went outside, and 2 workers eating their lunch out front asked me immediately if I was looking for a small black dog. I said "yes", and they said that a tall, dark-haired man had just entered the gallery's loading bay, grabbed Moose and headed up to the main street.

I immediately took off running and after 13 hours, had still not found them. I have done everything I can think of - article in paper, interview on radio, police report, SPCA, animal control, all vets, dog shops, posters everywhere - I haven't stopped moving since it happened.

On the same day, a purebred Basset hound was also "taken" in Pass Creek (just outside of Nelson). Many people think that the cases are connected and that the dog-napper is not local and has already left town.

My name is Kristi Malakoff - my home number is: 250 352-0542, and my cell number is: 604 762-5797 or
e-mail kmalakoff@yahoo.com

He was not wearing any collar or tags at the time, but he does have a microchip between his shoulders blades. Otherwise, his information is as follows: classic Boston coloring (B&W), 9-years old in 3 weeks, male, neutered, small scar on his eye from a cat scratch, missing one nail on his front paw.

CHICO (ONT)

“Chico” – Boston Bull Terrier

We are hoping that someone may be able to help us with information. Our family dog “Chico” – 5 year old neutered male went missing Wednesday September 8/10 – from the Moira Road, School House Road, Clearview Road area (top end of Thurlow Township (Belleville, Ontario) and 1st of Huntingdon, Centre Hastings – 10 minutes east of Stirling, Ontario)

We live on a wooded hillside acreage, so if he wandered to the road he may have looked abandoned and someone hopefully picked him up.

He is a very affectionate dog, who only barks when he is afraid, loves to sit on your lap and sleep with the kids. Our children are anxious to see him again and we are offering a REWARD for his return.

Please find attached photos and we would be so happy if you would contact us with any information that may help us.

Thanks so much,

Lorraine J
