Although Ruby was not formally adopted by my sister and her family,
they turned out to be her forever home............
Miss Ruby
Ruby was abandoned in a shelter by what turned out to be her owner. She was hairless covered in sores and bright red, hence the name "Ruby" was given by the shelter workers. Ruby has the contagious form of mange and was Fostered by my sister and bother-in-law Dr. Jacqueline and Marco Côté and family, given Jacqueline is a vet and could provide the best foster home for Ruby. As she recovered from the mange, she was much older than the shelter thought and unfortunately was riddled with health problems, ones that could never be cured.
Ruby was most definitely my nephews dog :) As he was learning to stand regardless of how much pain she might have been in, she was solid as a rock as he used her to stand up. Ruby LOVED Wesley! All she wanted was love and Wesley LOVED her up. She lived out the rest of her life with my sister and her family the way a boston should live....Loved as much as possible and SPOILED!!!! She was a great dog and she is most definitely missed!
I have reattached the before and after pics that Colleen sent as well as a pic with my Nephew, Wesley feeding Ruby a cookie. They loved each other SO Much!
Again, she is missed :(
