BTRC are currently doing some reorganizing and are temporarily on hold with applications during these organizational changes.
Boston Terrier Rescue Canada (BTRC) does not have a shelter facility, so all rescued dogs stay in foster homes until forever homes can be found. As a foster parent, you will be asked to commit to providing a temporary home for several weeks, or even months for your foster dog. During this time, BTRC will be looking for the perfect, permanent adoptive family and getting the dog up to date with all veterinary care. Rescue will pay all medical charges for the Boston while in your care, but you will be asked to provide food, love, and emotional support during this crucial transitional time. You may also need to administer medications, or provide basic obedience training. In addition, you’ll give us feedback about your foster dog so that we can ensure a good match with a potential adopter.
Every dog is different and may require different levels of care and training. Very few things, however, are more rewarding than to take in a sad, lonely, despondent dog and see him or her turn into a loving, happy and treasured pet. When they leave for their new forever home, you will have the joy of knowing the part you played in making it all possible!
