Tilly needs your help!

TILLY NEEDS YOUR HELP! SHE NEEDS CATARACT SURGERY URGENTLY!

I’m sure you’ve heard some of the stories of dogs helped by Boston Terrier Rescue Canada (BTRC). There are so many little faces with happy snaggle tooth grins because of your support of BTRC.

Did you know that in 2014, BTRC has taken 47 dogs into care?

When a Boston Terrier (or mix) comes into the care of BTRC, it costs an average of $750 for their vetting.

This year, BTRC has spent over $33,000 in vet bills and the year isn’t over yet!

BTRC can do their amazing work because of the generosity of those living across Canada – all those folks who give what they can to help the sweet little souls we call Boston Terriers.

Last year, volunteers created a beautiful quilt that was raffled off.

The quilt allowed BTRC to raise $2,000. This money was used to provide a safe haven, medical care, training, support and TLC to BTs who have been abandoned, neglected, and abused or find them without a home because their owners can no longer care for them.

We would like to hold another raffle in November and we’d like to raise $3,000.

We need your help to make this happen. We need your help to secure a big prize!

Please take a moment to think about the connections you have through your work, the businesses that benefit from your patronage, friends, family and your own business.

Could you get a pair of airline tickets donated? What about a week at all inclusive resort or do you have a week or two at a timeshare that you’re not able to use? Did I hear someone say cruise? How about a Dyson vacuum cleaner? The sky is the limit – I know we all want to do what we can to help these dogs who have gone through so much.

Please contact Tina Daquano by November 7th to let us know if you can help.

All of the funds raised will be go towards a little dog named Tilly who has juvenile cataracts.

Tilly loves to play with her foster brother and is trying to live life to the fullest, but her compromised vision is holding her back. She is shy meeting new people because she cannot see them. When she goes on a walk she is frightened by noises because she can’t see where they are coming from.

The surgery she needs has a 90% success rate. The surgery she needs costs $5,500.

BTRC needs your help to raise the funds for Tilly’s surgery. By donating an item for our raffle, we can help this beautiful girl get the surgery she desperately needs. Thank you.

PS – Even if it isn’t a fit for the raffle, we can still probably use your donation for our 2015 auction. Last year, our spring auction raised over $3,800 after expenses to help BTRC with caring for the dogs in foster care and their Set for Life program.
