ADOPTED: Bubbles

Adopted November 20, 2014

Bubbles is a sweet ball of fun. He’s absolutely adorable and his puppy antics will keep everyone laughing. He is housetrained and crate trained.

Bubbles came to us from a shelter. He ‎had been passed around some and the shelter believed he needed us to ensure he reached a forever home. Bubbles has a neurological condition called idiopathic neuropathy. What this means is that Bubbles sometimes shakes. There is no known cause or cure, and does not require any medication.

Bubbles has been in his foster home for 3 months now. His foster mom said that she’s actually found his shaking to be drastically reduced. He hasn’t had any seizures at all since coming to us (was reported to have had 2 while in the care of the shelter). He’s learned how to eliminate properly, walk wonderfully on leash, and even a few commands.

Bubbles loves to play. He will play with absolutely anyone who will humour him; dogs, cats, people. He sometimes needs to be told when he’s being a pest. But, he will chase a ball for hours if no one will wrestle or play chase. He does still require help in determining what is and isn’t appropriate to chew on. He still finds himself in trouble for taking inappropriate items like shoes, towels, etc. We don’t believe that Bubbles received much training or interaction at all ‎in his early life since he knew so little.

Bubbles is very affectionate. He loves attention and being cuddled. He travels very well, is pretty quiet, and is well behaved as a visitor. He loves exercise: walks on the beach, the sidewalks, trails, and even a slow 5k run (he’s not very fast with those Boston legs). He loves sleeping under blankets.

Bubbles’ home is going to need to be someone who has enough time to devote to activity. Ideally, they will have another dog who enjoys playtime. He needs to continue his education in doggy grad school to keep him out of detention.
