ADOPTED: Hamish

Adopted February 10, 2015

Dapper and dashing in his velvety black and white tuxedo, handsome Hamish can easily boast of being one of “Boston’s finest.” An agile and active 7-year-old, he enjoys being outdoors, especially if it involves several hearty romps around the yard of his foster home.

He also enjoys going for rides in the car and is a happily relaxed backseat driver. Afternoons are his designated nap times, although occasionally, if he had his druthers, Hamish would doze off and on all day, while comfortably ensconced on the couch beside his foster mom.

Generally calm and quiet in the house, he lets his terrier out and woo woos Boston-style when somebody comes to call. A self-confessed womanizer, Hamish adores women and automatically gravitates to them, perhaps because his original owner, who recently passed away, was a warm and loving woman. Not that he doesn’t like men, because he most certainly does.

Although he’s crate trained, he’s so accustomed to having someone home all day that it’s seldom used. And at bedtime, he’ll either sleep in his favourite basket or – preferably – under the covers with his foster mom. The ideal home for Hamish then, is one where someone is there much of the time, with a small, older dog for company, or where Hamish is his adopter’s one and only.
