ADOPTED: Zeus

Adopted December 14, 2014

Living up to his mighty mythological name, Zeus, with his unique honey-copper coat, is as comfortable sprinting across the sand as he is strolling along the sidewalk. He may be 9 years old, but don’t tell him that. He behaves more like a Boston half his age, thriving on walks of between 5 and 8 km or wrestling with the best of them. And yet, he can be equally calm and mild mannered inside his foster home, curling up contentedly on the couch with his fosters for an enjoyable cuddle.

Whether crated or loose on his own, Zeus is always well behaved, just as he is around cats and most small dogs. Large dogs, however, are more difficult for him. What he still requires then is more time and more training, including proper introductions to large, friendly dogs and those who are already familiar to him.

And although he is gentle at first with young children, he can become overly excited during play and may unintentionally nip them. Due perhaps to allergies that have caused him chronic ear infections, Zeus was put on a raw food diet in his foster home, and has been responding well to it.

Ready now for the next paw-sitive step in his life, mighty Zeus hopes to make his home with a family (without children) as active as he is, with the loving patience to complete his training and earn them his loving cuddles forever.
