ADOPTED: Freckles

Freckles was adopted April 1, 2023

Brotherly Love!

This! ♥️♥️ This is why BTRC foster boys Gizmo and Freckles were recently adopted out together.

Although truly bonded pairs are rarer than most people think, these two have lived together all their lives. Their closeness is evident every day – they play together, cuddle with and comfort each other, and sleep together.

We understand that some may be disappointed as they were waiting for one or the other of the boys to become adoptable. But as adopters are rarely looking for two adult dogs at one time, we were thrilled when the opportunity arose to place the brothers together in a home that perfectly matched their needs.

Congratulations to Gizmo, Freckles, and their new family!

Weekend with friends!

Hello weekend! BTRC foster Freckles just couldn’t wait to get this puppy party started. Yep, he’s the one climbing the gate to welcome his new buddies, fosters Monkey and Sandy, for a sleepover.

BTRC foster Gizmo and resident pup Gabe were a little more restrained, but just as happy to take part in all the shenanigans happening with five playful boys in the house. Fortunately, there were some brief respites for super foster mom – very brief. But as we all know, they are all angels when they are sleeping! 😇

Oh no, it’s the cone!

Two more boys ‘snipped’ – two more boys very unimpressed!

BTRC fosters Freckles and Gizmo were neutered yesterday. While under, both also had nare surgery to widen the nostril openings to increase oxygen flow and improve that ‘snuffley’ breathing.

Both are recovering well. Resident pooch Gabe is a great foster brother and has been a wonderful nurse – as soon as Freckles and Gizmo arrived home, Gabe coaxed them to the big heated bed so they could get some rest. “Been there, done that, fellows…”

Welcome Freckles!

More information coming soon.
