NOELLE – ADOPTED!

Noelle is looking to the future – the future with her new forever family! A very popular gal, we were overwhelmed with the number of wonderful applications and thank everyone who applied to adopt her. We are so grateful that so many wanted to add a rescued pet to their home. ❤️ However, there is only one Noelle, and we know that she will be very happy and much loved by her new, lucky family.

Congratulations to all!

NOELLE – READY FOR ADOPTION!

It has been a while since an update on Noelle has been shared, and we are happy to say that she is living her best life these days. When she first came into rescue with her “sister” Nelly, she was reserved, cuddly but anxious, not much for playing, and mostly just followed her foster mom around.

It was decided to see how she did on her own, and we can officially say that her personality has really blossomed over the last few months! She was placed in a foster home with a younger playful Boston, and after a few weeks of decompression she became a completely different dog. She is confident, playful, a great house guest, and a committed bathroom guardian.

Noelle spent her summer going on as many adventures as possible. From paddleboarding, to hiking, to road trips and hanging out on patios, this girl has done it all! Even when she was not feeling the walk, she would happily hop in a backpack. This sweet girl has learned to play nicely with other dogs and is always up for a play date with her canine foster sibling. (Cats are a different story. Although she has not lived with a feline since coming to BTRC, we were told by her former owner that cats were a ‘no’.)

If you are lucky enough to add Noelle to your family, you will be saving money on dog beds, as this little girl would much rather be on a couch by your side for a nap or nestled in your bed for the night. She is such a great little cuddle bug and will demand to sit on your lap while sneaking in a few kisses – and we all know about those Boston kisses!

She is not crate trained but is non-destructive in the home. She is housetrained and is great with humans of all sizes. (As it is BTRC’s policy only to adopt dogs that have successfully lived with little ones to families with children in that age group, homes with dog-savvy children 6 years and older will be considered.)

Although she isn’t a big walker, Noelle walks well on a leash (just watch out for those squirrels!!) and is easily re-directed. She is a bit on the vocal side when her foster mom gets home from work but is otherwise quiet during the day.

Up to date on all vetting and microchipped, this little peanut will make such a great addition to any household and promises to be your most loving companion.

If you think your home will be the perfect forever one for Noelle, please visit   HERE    for our adoption application form.

NOELLE • SPAYED FEMALE • 5 YEARS • 20 LBS • DOG-FRIENDLY • KIDS 6+ • FOSTERED IN OTTAWA, ON

Kindly Note: From the time applications are opened, through the selection and screening process, adoptions can take approximately three weeks to finalize. We thank everyone who takes the time to apply, but only those who best fit each dog’s requirements in a forever home will be contacted.

Happy Long Weekend from Noelle (August 2022)

Happy British Columbia / Heritage / New Brunswick / Saskatchewan / Natal / Terry Fox Day / Civic Long Weekend! 🇨🇦

And how are YOU Noelle?

Noelle loves her sister Nelly, she does. Well, most of the time. But as we are still trying to get Nelly’s Cushing’s disease under better control, and with her eye ulcer still needing attention, Noelle is feeling a bit left out. In fact, she was overheard mumbling that her name might as well be Cinderella…

Which is not true, of course! Rest assured Noelle is not hard done by at all. 😂 She continues to do well in foster care and, as two of her most favourite things are walks and sunshine, she’s very happy with the warmer weather. While still a bit anxious with new people, Noelle LOVES when foster mom’s son comes to visit and gets so excited to see him.

As we are still hopeful that Nelly and Noelle can stay together, the present plan is that both will remain in foster care until Nelly is ready to be adopted. Thanks to their amazing foster mom who is fully committed to caring for both these gals until it’s time for them to find their forever family. ❤️

WELCOME NOELLE!

Noelle, 5 years, with her sister Nelly, 7,  came to BTRC when changes in their family situation meant they would be left alone for 12 hours a day. Knowing that this was far from ideal for them, it was decided that finding them a new home where they could get the attention they deserved was the right thing to do.

Newly arrived, their foster is just getting to know the girls and their unique personalities. So far, they are being wonderful house guests, sweet and settling in well. Nelly does have some medical concerns that will need further investigation, and both will receive full veterinary check-ups.

Nelly and Noelle are being fostered in Burlington, ON and are not yet ready to be considered for adoption.
