Foster Update!

We wanted to give you an update on our foster boy, Bacon. Happy to report he’s doing great; happy, healthy, getting along with his foster sister dog and walks like a champ in his easy-walk harness. However it’s clear that Bacon cannot be placed in a home with children or a home that has children visit. Aside from that he’s described as a real sweetheart and will make a great companion and family member in a home without little ones.

We know many of you have been waiting patiently for quite a while for him to come up for adoption, it won’t be much longer now!

Update March 2020

We are so pleased to give you an update on our foster boy, Bacon.

When Bacon first came to us in early February, he was a stressed out little man! He was showing some reactivity to strangers and bikes but we are pleased to report that he has not been showing concerning signs of reactivity.

He’s doing well on his walks in his easy-walk harness and has gained a lot of confidence. Foster Mom says the more he walks the more he gets used to people around him on the street. Also happy to report that Bacon was very calm when Foster Mom had guests over.

Bacon also gets along really well with his foster sister Luna (smaller female Boston) as you can see in the photo and video. He also interacted with FM’s friend’s dog and did great.

All Bacon needed was a little TLC to become the best dog he can be!

Bacon was in a shelter in Quebec and was very stressed out in that environment and a concerned person reached out to us. What we know about him so far is he is 3.5 years old, 17lbs. He is loving and gentle with his familiar humans but can be anxious and a tad reactive with strangers. Bacon’s foster mum is going to provide a calm environment for him and help build his confidence in interacting with new people and situations. He gets along with cats and other dogs, but prefers calmer companions. Bacon is a good boy, crate and house trained and absolutely loves his ball! We know this little dude is going to make a wonderful, fun and loving companion to his adoptive family when he’s ready. 💯
