Adoptable Godot

So, Godot – what do we know? Well, first of all, when we originally introduced Godot, we shared that he was 13 lbs. He is not. (In our defense, that’s what it said on his intake info. 😉) He’s a healthy 25 lbs.

Mostly, Godot can be described as a typical Boston Terrier. He’s high energy, super curious, a bit of an attention seeker, and gets pretty darn excited to see you. In fact, he can get pretty darn excited, period.

Balance that with his sensitive side. Godot is tentative around new dogs, especially dogs larger than him. With proper introductions he does well. This also extends to human strangers. He’ll bark at visitors and in new situations. Toy-motivated, it’s not hard to redirect him with a kong or chew bone. (Again, like most Bostons, toys for aggressive chewers are the ones that survive!)

Godot walks well on leash, is fully house-trained, and was crate-trained in his original home. He’s highly trainable and would enjoy learning new things. Because he is a sensitive soul, positive-reinforcement training methods only! His prior family said that he was good with cats, but this has not been tested while in rescue.

The move to a new environment has been stressful for Godot; he’s the type of dog that doesn’t like change and takes time to settle into a new routine. That’s why it will be best to get him into his forever home as soon as possible.

If you feel that you and your lifestyle would be a match for Godot’s needs, please click here to fill out an application form.

Welcome Godot!

Another new foster face, Godot [pronounced go-doh] came to BTRC when some unfortunate and uncontrollable circumstances prevented him from joining his family on a move overseas. They were heartbroken, but we have promised to take great care of Godot and find him a wonderful new home.

While he is settling into his foster home very well, we don’t yet know Godot well enough to share a list of his likes and dislikes, or what might make the best match in a forever family. We do know that this handsome fellow is four years old, weighs about 13 lbs., and in the Boston Terrier genetic lottery, ended up with a long, tail-waggin’ tail!

Stay tuned!

NOTE: Godot is being fostered in Ottawa, Ontario. He is not yet ready to be considered for adoption. BTRC does not maintain a waiting list, so no applications will be accepted at this time.
