ADOPTED: Lizzie

Lizzie was adopted on June 8, 2019!

She has her eye on you! Lively Lizzie lives to love and be loved, making her the ideal doggy companion.

She craves her foster family’s attention, affection and cuddles, then, being an independent miss, is equally content to entertain herself by chewing on a chuck-it ball or figuring out a puzzle toy.

Eager to learn and easy to teach, especially when treats are involved, she’s mastered “come”, “sit”, “down”, “stay”, “give paw” and “look”, is housetrained, sleeps through the night in her crate, and remains in it calmly working on one of her puzzle toys whenever her family’s out.

To burn off her Boston energy, she goes on walks for 10 to 15 minutes four times a day, and because she loves the outdoors, she enjoys sniffing around and trying to chase birds.

Wary of other dogs, she and her foster mom steer clear of them during their walks, and should she hear them bark outside when she’s at home, she too will bark, a behaviour her foster mom’s working to correct.

Wary as well of visitors, if they’re introduced to her slowly, treats in hand, she’ll soon make them her friends and welcome their pets.

With so much love to give and a few rough edges to polish, what Lizzie needs now is an attentive and affectionate home without other dogs, but perhaps with a friendly feline for company.
