ADOPTED: Oliver

Oliver was adopted on May 30

Welcome Oliver! 😍
Cute, cuddly and courageous, tiny six-week-old Oliver was born with a genetic defect – a twisted esophagus. This makes it difficult for him to eat and get the nourishment a growing puppy needs. The outlook for his future was dire. Oliver would slowly starve to death, so without life-saving intervention, the only option was euthanasia.
When we learned of Oliver’s plight, we knew we had to do all we could to help. Oliver’s condition is being assessed by our veterinarian, and a treatment plan is being put in place. Surgery will be expensive (estimated at $5000) so we will be fundraising for Oliver along with two other deserving BTRC fosters with extensive medical bills.
In the meantime, please send lots of pawsitive energy Oliver’s way. Like Dicken’s Oliver Twist, our little orphan “wants some more” – more food, more fun, a healthy future – and together we hope to give it to him.
Oliver is being fostered in Nova Scotia, and no adoption inquiries will be answered at this time. We will provide Oliver updates as information becomes available. As soon as he is ready to find his forever home, we will open up the applications and let everyone know on social media.

OLIVER IS IN FOSTER CARE IN NOVA SCOTIA AND IS NOT UP FOR ADOPTION YET. Check our facebook page for updates on this special dude.
