¡Aquí está Pablo!
When Pablo first came to Rescue, he was, quite honestly, a bit of a Boston ‘terror’ around other animals. Since his arrival, he has been hard at work learning to behave in a more appropriate way, using positive-reinforcement training methods. And we’re proud to share that his report card boasts an ‘A’!
Pablo has come a long way with his reactivity. Very clever, confident, and even a little bit calculating, Pablo still has the tendency to be pushy with other dogs, and even with people on occasion, if he feels he can get away with it.
For this reason, he will require an experienced owner who can offer him structure and stay on top of the rules. Rescue will share all the training ‘tools’ his adopter will need so Pablo can continue his success in his new home. (Plus, if Pablo is adopted in the Kitchener-Waterloo region, his trainer will offer a discount for his “continuing education”.)
All that out of the way, Pablo is overall a very good boy! Celebrating his fourth birthday in February 2021, he is a healthy 24 lbs. Crate-trained and housetrained, Pablo has mastered basic obedience, but would still love to learn any new tricks you’d like to teach him. He loves going on walks and enjoys trips in the car, so he’s always ready to go when you are! Pablo is a playful and social dog and would do well with a submissive, respectful fur sibling.
Undeniably handsome, with a winning smile, Pablo is loving and affectionate with his people. He will be a wonderful companion to someone who is ready to offer him the stability he needs, and he will repay you daily with his loyalty and love.

Dear Santa – we think that Pablo is being a bit modest in his letter. He has been working incredibly hard with his trainer to overcome his severe reactivity to other animals. In fact, Pablo actually has some doggie friends! He was so very good during a recent vet visit, and his “sit and wait” manners are impeccable. Now, he still has some work to do, but if you could put a little something extra in his stocking, we think he certainly deserves it!

Pablo, being fostered in Ontario, is presently on a behavioural hold and not yet ready for adoption.
EVERYONE WELCOME PABLO! 
A new boy in our rescue program, Pablo is a neutered 3-year-old who, I’m sure you’ll agree, has a winning smile!
Pablo came to BTRC because his owner, for personal reasons, was no longer able to care for him. Friendly, confident and happy, Pablo is good with people of all ages.
His love, however, does not extend to other animals.
Pablo’s foster family will be working with a qualified trainer to help him develop better habits and skills through the use of positive reinforcement. He also will have a vet visit for a thorough check-up and to get him up-to-date on all routine vetting.
NOTE: Pablo is being fostered in Ontario, and is not ready for adoption as he still needs to be fully assessed. As soon as he is ready to find his forever home, we will open up the applications and let everyone know on social media.
