Lacey, originally called Lady, came to rescue from a shelter in Quebec. Her foster mom remembers her arrival on a snowy winter night. Underweight and in need of medical care, she seemed to know right away that she was safe. Though it took many weeks for her to heal, Lacey was a trooper through it all.

When it finally came time to join her new family, who drove quite a long way to meet her, it was love at first sight! Lacey was a vocal gal, and while this could be a problem in some places, Lacey’s family was looking for a dog to alert them to visitors. Regular updates on Lacey’s adventures and shenanigans, shared with her foster mom, confirmed that this spunky princess was a wonderful fit in her forever home!

Lacey’s illness was sudden and her passing unexpected. Our heartfelt condolences to Lacey’s family. May the memories you’ve made soon bring you smiles instead of tears. ’Til later, Lacey 🌈❤️
