Milo was adopted April 26, 2023

Congratulations to Milo and his new family, which includes a doggy sister named Milly. “Milly and Milo” sounds like a great team! And it looks like Milo has already started on a life full of fun and adventure!

Adoptable Milo!

The Magnificent Mr. Milo is ready to take on the world!

Milo, a recent addition to BTRC, joined us in March 2023 and has quickly adapted to his foster home. An undeniably handsome boy who just turned 3, this stocky fellow weighs 22 lbs. We suspect there may be a few French bulldog genes mixed in with his Boston ones!

Milo is a gentleman. He interacts well with both adults and children, so he would welcome having multiple family members. Milo has played happily with all dogs he has met and doesn’t mind sharing his space with a caged bird. He has had no experience with cats, so we can’t say for sure how he would do, but given his personality we feel with the right introduction he could learn to live with a dog-savvy feline sibling.

Milo is crate and potty-trained, walks well on his leash and enjoys rides in the car. He follows a healthy lifestyle by snacking on fruits and veggies – patiently waiting for his special treats. Milo believes in living a life of balance, managing play time with heavy-duty chew toys and nap time; Milo has been known to put himself to bed when the mood strikes him. Milo also loves a good snooze after breakfast, with some soft piano music in the background – and he’ll never say no to lap naps and human snuggles.

But while he may be a great napper, Milo loves having a yard to run and play! He is a medium- to high-activity dog who is looking for his person to keep pace with him. When Milo first joined his foster home, he did exhibit some destructive behaviour by chewing his beds. This has subsided, and today Milo chews only on his toys. He also loves to be challenged by food puzzles. His initial destructiveness may have been a sign of stress and/or anxiety, so his forever home should be willing to work with Milo to positively reinforce desired behaviours. He is not a highly vocal dog, so he would be suited to a variety of homes with outdoor spaces.

Milo would do best with a family who is home more often than not, so those who work from home would be ideal for him. Milo is a very well-behaved dog and in great health. If you’re looking for a dog who loves a balanced life of playtime and cuddle time, Milo just may be your perfect companion!

Milo is currently being fostered in the Vancouver area. If you think you have the right lifestyle and home that would be a good fit for Milo, please complete the ADOPTION FORM.

Happy Easter!

A very Happy Easter from foster Milo – oops, we mean “Easter Bunny Milo” – and everyone at BTRC!

Welcome Milo

This handsome 3-year-old boy came to rescue when life’s circumstances changed for his family, and they could no longer provide him with the time and attention he deserves. Wanting him to live his best life, they made the difficult decision to ask BTRC to find Milo a new home.

Milo has just arrived at his foster home, so we’ll learn more about his likes, dislikes and personality quirks as he settles in. We can tell you he’s cute as a button and very playful!

Milo is being fostered in the Tri-Cities area of Vancouver, BC and is not yet ready to be considered for adoption.
